Kenzi + Brantzen
The photos of a couple on top of a mountain overlooking the view is always fun and adventurous but what makes my heart feel at home is photographing places that don’t always get attention. Welcome to my new home! I just recently moved to Salt lake city, Utah! I have been back and forth since I came for the first time in December 2017. I just couldn’t get enough of it! The city is full of art, good food, and incredible people! I took Kenzi + Brantzen to some of my favorite places! My favorite place to work outside of the house was this adorable coffee shop called Publik! They have good drinks, the kindest people, and Gluten free avocado toast (let’s be honest, Im here for the food 😂) Then we head over to the gateway where I have spent many nights (Not actually sleeping but walking around in the middle of the night) and taking pictures with my favorite sign in all of Utah! “Salt Lake City is for lovers” Is the truest statement I ever did read! I feel so at peace in Salt lake and it truly feels I belong here! Our final destination was the rooftop of Harmon’s grocery store! BY GOLLY GEE WIZZZ do I spend a lot of time here 😂🙈 Colby and I (My boyfriend and talented videographer) are usually found there at least 3-5 times a week. Sometimes shopping for stuff we actually need but usually just dancing and grabbing food because it looks good.
Meeting Kenzi + Brantzen was like striking gold! EUREKA! What freaking gems they are!!! MAN did we have fun!! I laughed and probably cried at least 10 times during this shoot! They are SO in love and the cutest love! Here is their story of how they met and became lovers:
Brantz and I grew up together, going to school together 6th grade through senior year. We had the same “friend group” so we hung out and were friends all through those years. The middle of our senior year, we had a class together and kind of started hitting it off, we went to senior ball, continued to talk and then towards the end got pretty serious. We dated all summer after we graduated, then he left on a LDS mission for two years. He got back this year the end of July and we basically picked right back up where we left off. We love to do anything that involves an adventure, we like watching movies, we both grew up playing sports so we still enjoy doing that. Honestly, we just love to be together and spend time with each other. So as long as we are together we are happy and have fun 🤗 We are always messing around, and laughing, he’s my happy place and i can’t imagine life without him! ❤️
