Private Estate Indio Wedding

Devan + Jonathan

Feast your eyes on this gorgeous Private estate Indio Wedding. It’s not very often that I Don’t meet my couples before their wedding day. In fact, I frown upon it. only because I don’t want to be strangers on your wedding day! I want to plan your whole day with you, talk about your vision, get a feel for who you are as a couple.

Sometimes this just isn’t possible

For example, Devan + Jonathan live in Arizona so It was hard to be able to meet up due to distance. California was a perfect location for the two of them beca since this is where Devan grew up. Friends and family pretty local other than a few. Since we didn’t have that engagement session to bond, we talked on the phone quite often leading up to their wedding. I was able to guide them through the day and really get to know Devin that way.

“Your wedding, your way”

There were a lot of things they were set on like not doing a first look, and having a big hang out with all of their friends. They picked this Private Airbnb in Indio to be able to host some of their guests as well as stay in themselves! It was nice for them to wake up and already be at their wedding venue! The joys of having your wedding in Socal is that you have the chance of good weather in the 70s.

Your bridal party should be people that are going to be your personal hype team the whole day and THESE GIRL ABSOLUTELY WERE!

They were supportive and fun and made the whole day a memorable experience! From champange toasts to dancing in their underwear to dancing to cardi B and getting DOWWWNNN!!!

As soon as Devan’s dress was put on the tears started rolling. You never know quite how you will feel on the day of your wedding. There is a flood of emotions that sometimes can’t be contained. As a wedding photographer, it is my duty to capture those moments that truly matter.

Now introducing MR. & MRS. Fisher!

Family portraits during a wedding day are very important but can go smoothly with the right cooperation, a good photographer, and organization. Their family felt like my family, we laughed, cried, and danced together! We all came together for the same reason to love and cherish this huge milestone in their lives.

Just because you are marrying your best friend doesn’t mean you have to marry your veil. I always say “GO BIG OR GO HOME” when it comes to wedding veils because you can do so much for photos but you don’t have to keep it on the whole day. Take photos in it, wear it for your ceremony and ditch it for the reception.

TALK ABOUT A GRAND ENTRANCE! WOWZA!

Honest moment here. I can not remeber one time I have not cried when the father daughter moment comes. I think partly because I know for my wedding in the future that will be one of the most special moments for me. Welp, I definately was wiping away some solid tears as I was taking these!

… and I wasn’t the only one…

Another one of my favorite moments of the Fishers wedding in Indio was when they did an anniversary dance. I have seen this time and time again but this one was done a little bit differently. DJ BSELECTA, a Los Angeles based Dj had the idea of playing the couples song they danced to at their wedding. Look at the smile on his face when they played it (PURE JOY)!

Thank you so much Devan + Jonathan for trusting me with your wedding day and being so incredible to work with! I will see you soon in Arizona and we will make more magic! Enjoy your honeymoon in Hawaii, super jealous!
