I love weddings that reflect the unique personalities of the bride and groom. This was definitely the case with Shaye and Kyle’s cowboy theme. Shaye, a singer/songwriter and Kyle, a fireman, both with a passion for the rugged outdoors planned a very intimate and casual affair to celebrate the beginning of life as a married couple.
Cowboy boots, jeans, and rainbow colored knee socks were just the beginning of the details that set their day apart. The three cord cross they used to “tie the knot” during the ceremony reflected their spiritual commitment.
There were so many sentimental symbols to represent love from both families. The couple recited their vows while placing Kyle’s grandparents wedding rings on each other’s fingers. A beautiful handkerchief and pair of tiny gloves from Shaye’s grandmother were carried down the isle by the bride.
The setting could not have been more perfect, complete with a trailer for the gents to get their duds on, and an arch made from logs decorated with flowers and a cow skull. Topping it all off was a beautiful barn for the reception.
Shaye really fell for Kyle before even meeting, literally falling into Kyle’s arms. The backstory-they were at a Nascar event with friends that thought they would be a perfect couple. Shaye and Kyle were sitting at different levels in the bleachers, and at the same time decided to see what all the talk was about. Kyle was coming up the stairs, Shay was falling down the stairs. Fortunately, she landed right in his arms.
All of the festivities took place at the beautiful Sundowners ranch in the Lucern Valley. The happy couple dined on pulled pork and corn from the chuckwagon style menu, and danced the night away as the sun set over the horizon; line dancing, of course.
Most photographer like to be a wall flower. Not seen nor heard, BUT I am not your typical photographer. I am the girl who laughs when your mom laughs, cry when your dad cries and dance with your grandma when she is busting those moves! And thats exactly what I did!
