Intimate Temecula Wedding// Jeanine + Ryan

"Okay, so when Jeanine and Ryan first approached me, I could tell we were going to get along great. They marked “dogs (duh)” on my questionnaire, and that pretty much guarantees a perfect match. They made their marriage Facebook official in Septemeber, at the beautiful private estate in Temecula, Ca. It turned out so lovely!

Jeanine is the epitome of a glowing bride. Within her natural beauty, you can see her grace and happiness in every single photo. She made everything look so easy! And check out that backless DRESS. It’s difficult to find the perfect dress, but when you do… you just know. And it was pretty obvious how perfect this dress was for her. She picked it up in a litte boutique in Los Angeles.

They did the first look (one of my favorites to photograph, and I highly recommend it to everyone!), and Ryan was BEAMING. Seriously, his smile is a mile wide. You can simple see his adoration for her in the way he looks at her, and reaches out for her. They laughed as they turned around to face each other, and he told her she looked absolutely stunning—and he was definitely right.

After that, the day flew right by! They said their touching “I do’s” within the checkered marble hallway surrounded by their closest families and friends. It was an intimate affair, no more than 50 guests were there, and it was magical. The white stone, the beautiful iron-rod fences, and the beautiful California green from the palm trees, was a beautiful contrast for their first images as husband and wife. This venue knows what’s up.

Guys, I haven’t even gotten to the best part yet. One word: BUNDT CAKES. They had BUDNT CAKES at their reception, and let’s just say I was the happiest person. They were delightful to photograph, and even better to eat. They had speacialty drinks and dancing with all the people that meant the absolute most to them, and ended the night with sweet goodbyes, and new beginnings. What kind of perfect wedding day is that?! Overall, the day they spent planning months for ended as a smashing success. Thank you so much for allowing me to be such an important part of your happily ever after, guys! Here’s to many more years of birthday surprises, a trip to Hawaii (eventually, right?!), and pictures to keep the memories alive forever! Cheers!"

Jessica + Adrian | Patrick's Point Proposal

Can I just start by saying I LOVE MY JOB as a destination photographer! I took a trip to Washington to photograph a wedding, and on my way I had the pure JOY of capturing this perfect proposal at Wedding Rock.

Adrian had contacted me a couple months prior sending me shots of the location which literally brought tears to my eyes. These two have had quite the journey as a couple for the last 2 and a half years. This moment was just so right! They have this precious little boy that is the most well behaved, cutest, lively thing you could ever meet!

They invited me to stay at their home in Humboldt County. I was surrounded by forest, horses, and random dear that hoped over the fence. I was in pure heaven! Wonderful people, beautiful scenery, and the only thing missing was a ring on that finger. I am an awful secret keeper, so staying with them for a full day before was so difficult to keep quiet especially since I spent the day with Jessica getting her hair and nails done. However, I was able to keep the secret WOO HOO! Adrian has told Jessica that he had arranged for their first professional family photos. He, however, had something bigger in mind.

This proposal definitely brought tears to my eyes as he said “are you ready for this?” I wanted to shout YES YES! we are all ready for this! I could not be happier for this beautiful family!

Abrielle + Danny// Pure Love

Abrielle & Danny met about 5 years ago, and became best friends almost instantly. Danny went to her house every morning at 7am to read devotionals with her, and would stay at her house until 3am helping her family. They finally gave up staying "just friends" and became official, because they just couldn't imagine their lives without eachother.

"On January 1st of 2013, Danny told me that he knew that he was going to marry me.On July 11th of 2016, he FINALLY asked me to be his wife on the beach in Hawaii at sunrise in front of his family. While we were in Hawaii on vacation, we went to Lanikai beach to watch the sunrise. Then, while taking pictures with his family, Danny snuck around behind me and dropped on one knee. When I turned around, he had a ring in his hand and asked me to marry him." - Abrielle

These two love spending time watching their favorite tv shows together with their new puppy in their new home in Beaumont. The beach is also a favorite of theirs which is why they had their honeymoon on the white sandy beaches of Cancun. They plan on doing road trip adventures until a mini Watson comes into play.

La Jolla Engagement // Wesley + Courtney

After a life time of friendship Wes and Courtney decided to tie to knot! With years of history between them they decided they couldn't live without eachother. Being a military man, Wes was gone for a few years. At that point they werent together, but when he returned they decided to go get lunch. He wanted to start a relatioship again (he saw what he was missing out on), but she made him work for it! Thing worth fighting for are rarely easy to get. He made up for lost times with his romantic proposal.

How did he ask?!

"Wesley took me up in the helicopter, he is a pilot! We had friends visiting and he tricked me into thinking we were taking them on a ride. We took a tour of San Diego on a beautiful day. Once we landed we got out of the helicopter and Wes got down on one knee and proposed! I lost it! Then he had one more surprise once we got back to the hangar, and had our families and closest friends there to celebrate with us! It was the perfect day!" -- Courtney

On their days off together they like to hang out and grab a drink, or maybe two ;) Spending time with their fur babies is always a plus, and they may add a pig to that animal family one day!

Above all else they love eachother and can't wait to spend forever together, moving state to state and building their family together (piglet or not).

Tale as Old as Time // Marisa + Keith Wedding

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young prince lived in a shining castle. Although he had everything his heart desired, the prince was spoiled, selfish, and unkind. But then, one winter's night, an old beggar woman came to the castle and offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince sneered at the gift and turned the old woman away. But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within. And when he dismissed her again, the old woman's ugliness melted away to reveal a beautiful enchantress. The prince tried to apologize, but it was too late, for she had seen that there was no love in his heart. And as punishment, she transformed him into a hideous beast and placed a powerful spell on the castle and all who lived there. Ashamed of his monstrous form, the beast concealed himself inside his castle, with a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world. The rose she had offered was truly an enchanted rose, which would bloom until his 21st year. If he could learn to love another, and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time. As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope. For who could ever learn to love a beast?

Even though Keith is nothing like a beast, but a gentleman in every way, Marisa's love for him is just as strong as the one Belle had for the Beast. Their Beauty and the Beast themed wedding was perfectly fitting for the two of them, as they both share a love for the movie.

Most brides feel as though their wedding day needs to be perfect: from the getting ready stage to the grand exit. However, no matter how well planned your wedding day might be there is almost always something that goes unexpected. For some weddings it might be that the hair and makeup took longer than planned, or there was traffic so half the guests arrived late, or there was a tear in the brides veil.

For this particular wedding Marisa is the kind of person who could never forget a single detail. She had a timeline that has a side for day full of sunshine and a plan B (rainy day schedule). However, there was a small detail forgotten. THE RINGS! Mid-ceremony the groom and best man raced out to the car to retrieve them leaving the bride at the alter.

What every bride can take away from this surprising event is to not sweat the small stuff, the wedding day is not all about the flowers, or dresses, or forgotten details. In the end, the most important thing is that you are marrying the love of your life. Enjoy every minute of your day, even if something doesn't go as planned.

Harry Potter Wedding// Joey + Casaundra

“I am not worried, Harry,” said Dumbledore, his voice a little stronger despite the freezing water. “I am with you.” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

I feel like I need to go watch all of the Harry Potter books after this wedding, because seriously, how can you not fall in love with all of this detail?! From the getting ready process to the end of the evening send off with hand made wands, you can't go wrong.

The Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry was put to shame with this awesome wedding theme! However, behind every great wedding theme is an awesome couple to go with it! Joey and Casaundra had never been to a wedding before they booked with me. I was in shock, only because I am a part of one almost every weekend. They did an awesome job of putting the entire wedding together themselves (of course with some help of the fam). When they found this venue they knew instantly that a Harry Potter themed wedding was a perfect fit.

Every wedding has its own hic-ups, and everyone feels as though they are the only ones. I can assure you, running 30 minutes late for your own wedding is completely NORMAL! The wedding doesn't start until you are ready. Fashionably late and all.

Joey and Casaundra met in the Navy, he caught her off guard by asking her to go on a spontaneous adventure. Casuandra was hooked! a week later he texted his best friend she was the one.

The guests came from all over, and you could tell how deep Joey and Casaundra had touched their lives. Being in the Navy, you collect friends from wherever you travel.

Some say, keep business and personal separate. I say screw that! Embrace your awesome couple and dance a little! Their wedding was so incredibly beautiful and I am honored to call these two my friends.

Abrielle + Danny// ENGAGED

Can these two get any cuter?! ALL THE HEART EYES!

We took a cruise down to Huntington beach. which, at this specific beach there is never a dull moment. Dance festival, a snake, and this time aroud: FOG!

I don't think I have ever been to the coast on a foggy day but it made for an awesome moody pictures. Abby and Danny killed it in their engagement session, Danny could help but kiss her every two minutes.

I love it when couples are so in love they can't help but giggle and laugh with eachother.

Spring is in the Air // Kristina + Brenan

The temperature is rising, flowers are blooming, and the birds are singing... this means, SPRING IS IN THE AIR! This is my first year doing photography full time and I wouldn't have had in any other way. I am in love with every couple that comes into my life and I treat them like family, why? because they are, to me! I am working to capture moments that will never be cherished forever and I don't take that lightly.

Kristina and Brenan chose to do their engagement pictures at the same venue where their wedding is going to take place in May of this year. Owl Creek Farms was so beautiful and peaceful, a perfect location for a rustic wedding theme.

The Bernstein Bears// Isaiah + Haleigh

This marine here is my youngest brother and the last one of my siblings to get married. I could not be happier for these two. My brother, has never had a good track record of "good women" in his dating life, so we were all leary of having another woman enter his life. On my twenty-first birthday my brother, his best man, and my boyfriend, drove out to Santa Barabara to hang out with my cousin. We were supposed to stay out there but he needed to get back to "this girl" I was so mad that we left early because of another doosey.

BOY WAS I WRONG! From the first time she came to our house she was helpful, loving, and caring in every way! Every one of the Bernstein clan fell in love with her almost instantly! I have never met someone with a heart as big as hers. She had a rough childhood and her wonderful grandparents took her in from age. Teaching her how to be a woman of God.

They were set up by Isaiahs best friend (best man) and his girlfriend. They went on their first blind date in Big Bear and have loved the mountains ever since. Every day is a new adventure for them, from hikes and bungee jumping, to late night movie nights.

When Isaiah told me he wanted to marry haleigh I knew he was making the best decision of his life. He also asked me to photographs and do a video of the engagement which you can see HERE.

After their engagement the wedding planning started imediately! Their origional plan was to get married in October in the mountains, however with Isaiah being a marine there was uncertainty as to where he would end up. He got word that he is getting deployed, oh how that changed things! It went from a 9 month engagement to 6 weeks!

Thankfully I knew the perfect venue with the most accommodating coordinator! a few days before the wedding the weather forcast showed rain in Murrieta. could the wedding planning become more complicated?! Kelly Winter with Nomad Nuptials made sure the day went through so smoothly that not one even noticed it was done it 6 weeks.

Being the photograper and bridesmaid was a bit of a challenge, and I couldn't have done it without my associate shooters John and Carrie!

Cheers to the happy couple!!! OORAH!

The greatest love of all// Aaron + Megan

When planning a wedding during the Winter/spring months, rain is a factor that brides should always take into consideration. Aaron and Megan picked the perfect location for this time of year. In the beautiful area of Calimesa, a unique country club was readily available for the two of them to exchange their vows. Origionally the plan was to have an outdoor wedding and indoor ceremony. However the weather did not allow for this, so the ceremony took place inside.

The last minute change didn't stop Aaron and Megan from having an amazingly beautiful wedding. Family came from near and very far, to celebrate with the lovely couple.

The details of the day were carfeully planned and executed in a simple yet elegant manner. A coin bracelet was worn which was a family heirloom that all of the females on the groom's side wore on their wedding day. Before the ceremony took place the groom's mother took the time to place it on Megans wrist to continue this tradition.

Aaron and Megan share a passion for video games which they incorporated in their wedding with a unique cake toppper. This was fitting for them because they share that love for video games as well as their love for each other.
